First Aid Training
All medium and high risk groups need to have someone trained in health and safety at each of their sessions so we run first aid courses for all clubs and societies to get students trained up so they can provide first aid cover for their group.
The courses run are in October, February & May. However, if you have at least 12 people who want to do a first aid course then we can get our trainer in to run a course for you at a time that suits your group.
It is a one day course which results in you getting the nationally recognised Emergency First Aid Qualification which lasts for 3 years. Each course only has 12 places.
Course dates: There are no other courses planned for this academic year.
The cost of the course is £60. To support students with gaining safety qualifications LUSU will subsidise the course by £20 for up to two members, who aren’t in their final year, per medium and or high risk groups per academic year. This brings the cost down to just £40 for those students.
