We know that every event is likely to be different. To ensure that your event production is to the standard you require, you will need to ensure you speak to our dedicated event staff.


After this, complete the relevant online form below to give us more information about your event, and we'll be in touch as soon as possible. All request MUST be made at least a MONTH in advance of your proposed event date.

Estimated costs

To give you a rough idea of the cost, here is an estimated breakdown of costs for a 4-hour show in the Great Hall:


Equipment hire cost = £50

Event crew setting up the light and sound rig: 3 hours x 2 event crew @ £10 per hr = £60

Event crew staffing a 4-hour dress rehearsal with light and sound: 2 hours x 2 event crew @ £10 per hr  = £40

Event crew during the 4-hour event running time: 4 hours x 2 event crew @ £10 per hr  = £80

Event crew dissembling the light and sound rig: 3 hours x 3 event crew @ £10 per hr  = £90


Sub Total: £270

20% VAT: £54


Estimated total: £324


There may be other charges, such as Portering charges or cleaning costs.

If your event requires decorations or table hire, you'll also need to factor these costs into your event.


If you want any additional help organising your event, come into the Students' Union Office to speak to the Society Coordinator during the term time drop-in every Tuesday between 13:00-16:00.
